LoadingGovern waqf and zakat files as fiduciary practice—not a fatwa seat or UN NGO badge.
Online only

Waqf and zakat governance fails when English impact slides replace the Arabic deed. This degree starts with the deed, the cashbook, and who may spend. You will treat family waqf, state zakat institutions, and non-profit arms of family enterprises as distinct legal-cultural files, including GCC attestation of overseas trustees that is not evaluation of competence. Vision 2030 social-sector professionalisation is an operating fact: dashboards, female trustees, and localisation of charity staff. You will write a bilingual incident memo when a related-party contractor appears, and you will refuse United Nations or League of Arab States logos on a fundraising page this university does not control. The award is academic. It is not a Sharia appointment and not a practising audit licence. It is for administrators who must keep endowment files honest when marketing has already used the word sacred. You will reconstruct a waqf cashbook from a deed, write a related-party incident minute in two languages, and design a beneficiary list that can be audited without humiliating names in a public dashboard. GCC social-sector KPIs and female trusteeship appear as governance facts. Tuition-free online. No charity-brand, OIC, or LAS logos in documentary stills.
Thirty-six credits: fiduciary architecture, beneficiary systems, bilingual reporting, and a waqf-file capstone. Tuition-free online. No charity-brand photography.

Modules are assessed through a published mix of coursework, applied projects, and examinations. Exam windows are announced in advance so students in other time zones are not forced into overnight sittings. Alternative arrangements are available where documented.
The published duration is 18 months. Teaching language: English and Arabic (bilingual assessment; academic Arabic required for AR-medium tracks). Actual time-to-complete depends on mode and any recognised prior learning.
This is a fully online award. You study from your country. No student visa and no campus relocation are required.
Degree tuition for this award is published as £0 / tuition-free on the online pathway. Examination or administrative fees may apply at checkout — never an annual tuition invoice. Check the Fees page for any extras.
Requirements are grouped on this page (academic, English, documents). Equivalent qualifications are considered. English may be waived after prior English-medium study.
Assessment is typically a mix of coursework, projects, and examinations. Doctoral awards include a thesis or dissertation and an oral examination. Details sit in the programme specification and module outlines.
Recognition of the award for local employment, professional licence, or ministry attestation is decided by your employer or regulator. Arab Leadership University publishes verification pages for certificates. We do not claim automatic equivalence in every country.
