ALU and AUC Partner to Deliver Dual BA in Economics and Arab Regional Development

Arab Leadership University, in collaboration with The American University in Cairo (AUC Network), has launched a specialized Dual BA in Economics & Arab Regional Development. The degree focuses on applied macroeconomics, industrial diversification policies, intra-Arab trade corridors, and labor market economics.

Undergraduates will utilize econometric tools including Stata, R, and Python to analyze monetary policy transmission, sovereign debt structuring, and foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows across Middle Eastern economies. The coursework investigates successful economic transitions across both emerging and developed markets.

"The economic renaissance of the Arab world requires young economists who understand local cultural realities as well as global macroeconomic modeling," remarked the Dean of Social Sciences. "This dual qualification equips graduates to join ministries of economy, central banks, and international financial institutions."
