ALU Computing School Launches Dual MSc in Blockchain Engineering and Central Bank Digital Currencies

Arab Leadership University's School of Computing, in collaboration with the KFUPM Academic Moderation Network, has unveiled a Dual MSc in Financial Technology & Blockchain Systems. The technical degree is designed for software engineers, cryptographers, and banking technology architects building high-throughput payment networks and sovereign digital currencies.

The curriculum delves into distributed ledger consensus algorithms, zero-knowledge proofs, formal verification of smart contracts, and real-time gross settlement (RTGS) integration with central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Students write and audit production-grade smart contracts in Solidity and Rust, deploying them to enterprise testnets.

"The digitization of Arab sovereign currencies and payment rails is moving at unprecedented speed," noted the Program Lead. "This dual degree produces graduates who understand the math, the code, and the regulatory guardrails needed to construct unbreakable financial infrastructure."

Enrolled candidates complete capstone dissertations in partnership with regional fintech incubators and banking sandboxes.
