Virtual Cyber Range and Forensic Labs Activated for ALU-KFUPM Dual Computing Undergraduates
Arab Leadership University has activated a dedicated cloud-based Virtual Cyber Range and Digital Forensics Sandbox for students enrolled in its Dual BSc in Cyber Forensics & Information Security, offered in partnership with the KFUPM Academic Moderation Network.
The state-of-the-art virtual infrastructure allows undergraduate students across 22 Arab nations to conduct live red-team/blue-team defensive simulations, capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges, and forensic memory extraction on isolated virtual machines without requiring expensive local hardware.
"Our students are not just reading theoretical textbooks on information security—they are actively analyzing real malware signatures and configuring enterprise firewalls in real time," said the Director of Computing Labs. "This practical training ensures our dual BSc graduates are battle-tested and job-ready for SOC operations centers upon graduation."
Access to the virtual cyber ranges is included free of charge for all enrolled students as part of ALU's tuition-free digital educational commitment.
